Jinzo is at heart a fun-loving boy with a knack for adventure. He's that boy that you always go to for advice because he has wise views on things despite his young age. People tend to give him the cold shoulder because of what he IS. But other than that, he has a very positive outlook on life and continues to strive forwards 100%. When not out in the town life, he is at home reading a book or generally being a peaceful person. He is the yin-yang type of person, an introvert when alone and an extrovert when around people.

One of his favorite things to do is meditate, as he often does. This is a way of strengthening his mental focus and unlocking his potential. This can be a struggle as the Bijuu can often be pesky and talk to him amidst mediation and sometimes doesn't have the nicest things to say, but when you live under the ocean with a severe lack of the one element that said Bijuu thrives in, you can understand his crankiness. The emotions of these two can and will often leak into one another though, especially when Jinzo is panhandling (which is his favorite pastime, you never know when you can get some money off of people right? How unbecoming of a Jounin...)

Jinzo is an avid shogi player, ever since hearing that Onamuji himself was an avid shogi player. There is great fun in being a strategist and figuring out what is the best move. It is why more often that not, the Doton specialist finds himself as the strategist during missions. Being one of the main reasons he made it to the Jounin rank in the first place.

One of the more darker elements of his personality though is the fact that he knows he is a living weapon and as such can be put forth for war at any time. It is a troublesome thing, as the boy pities taking unnecessary life. But he realizes that this is duty, and he values duty and loyalty and as such if the village should ever call for him to go forth and wreak havock, then he shall.

Historical Information

To tell the tale of a Jinchuuriki is to tell the tale of someone who was given a life outside of his or her choosing. The origin of the demon inside of Jinzo is an interesting one (and can be found here.) Jinzo grew up hearing whispers in his head, and always thought he was crazy. It wasn't until the boy was eleven years old that the Lizard King Bijuu first made it's presence known to him. At night, the two of them liked to sit under a blanket while the Lizard would tell him tales of his adventures. Onamuji may have had a rough exterior, and was an unruly demon. But he found the child's innocence to be quite the fuel for the fire of his legend.

Jinzo's father and mother cast him out at the age of fourteen, tired of hearing the stories that the boy would constantly tell them of the "friend that lived inside of his mind". They were really just scared of that fact that they knew what their son truly was, although Jinzo himself believed that it was merely a friend that lived inside of his head and soul. Even at the age of eighteen where he is capable of advanced thinking, Onamuji isn't just a demon to him, he's a friend and confidant, even though the demon is far less patient with him since becoming a full fledged shinobi.

But not to skip ahead, having enrolled in the academy at age eight. He did not excel at anything except Ninjutsu, although he was able to make passing marks. He became a specialist in the arts of Earth Ninjutsu, and though he didn't know it. The Bijuu inside of him strengthened the techniques he was capable of using ten-fold. Yet again, for another period in his life. The adults in charge knew what he was, and they were astounded by his progress.

It wasn't until the age of seventeen and the rank up to Chuunin that he found out about what he really was, it was during a mission that a fateful attack would have impaled him had it not been for a reactionary earthen coating around his heart that kept the spear from hitting it's mark. After the battle, he could hear the whispers from the other members of the mission, words like "Jinchuuriki, demon, freak..." He immediately asked Onamuji about it, who gruffly told him of his destiny and his origin of becoming the Two-Tailed's keeper. At first Jinzo struggled with this, but he decided that he would not change his mindset. Onamuji had been his "friend" from such a young age, that he continued to believe that they were one and the same.

Two peas in a pod, albeit. The strangest peas that ever lived...

One year later, Jinzo ranked up to Jounin and Onamuji just grew crankier. It had been so long since either of them had been on solid ground, living in a village that nestled under the sea. A state of turmoil between them began to blossom, as the demon was sick and tired of the metallic floors and the absence of flowers. Such a turmoil is where the story begins, and it is know that the pen of fate will continue to write...
