personality information ___________________________________________ Calin is a very laid back individual, always willing to take a shortcut to have more time to sit back and enjoy the day. He's naturally a flirt with any pretty lady he sees and this usually gets him into a lot of trouble. He tends to look at things objectively and logically and hates having his relaxation interrupted. He's willing to forgo the relaxation in favor of a fun time however and loves pulling pranks on people. Name: Shadow Imitation Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Element: Type: Ninjutsu, Hiden Rank: C Jutsu Prerequisites: Rat Description: The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow on any surface (even water) and as far as they want as long as there is a sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. Therefore, the two can throw shuriken at each other at the same time if the user desires that (of course, to prevent hurting themselves, the user just has to have the shuriken holster in a place where you don't normally have it, like the back, so that the opponent draws nothing when the user draws a shuriken). If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on pre-existing shadows for their shadow to freely travel through. It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction. The shadow can also be attached to people without binding them, letting the "victim" move freely. Doing that has the purpose that the person, the shadow was attached to, makes contact with a third person, to bind the latter one with the shadow.
Name: Shadow Sewing Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Element: Type: Ninjutsu, Hiden Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Rat -> Bird Description: This is a ninjutsu from among the Nara clan's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilising and controlling like the Shadow Imitation Technique. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.
This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into the Shadow Imitation Technique.
Name: Shadow-Neck Binding Technique Canon/Custom: Canon Element: Type: Ninjutsu, Hiden Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Dragon -> Tiger -> Rat Description: A technique developed from the Nara clan's hiden Shadow Imitation Technique with combat in mind. It is possible to inflict direct damage to the enemy by transforming and moving shadows endowed with physical power.
It is possible to attack body parts like fingers and such by turning the shadow slender and to bind the opponent's body in order to restrain them. It was given its name because, above all else, strangulation is the most efficient method. The smaller the distance to the target, the greater the power of the shadow. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time, as it weakens with each passing minute
Name:Kagemane Shuriken no Jutsu, ??????? (Shuriken Shadow Imitation Canon/Custom: Canon Element: Shadow? Type: Ninjutsu, Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Secondary weapons (Kunai, senbon, etc) and paper seals Description: By channeling chakra into any type of secondary weapon or projectile, as well as performing hand seals and placing special paper seals on the weapons, the user can use this technique to freeze and opponents movements with Kagemane. Depending on what rank the user knows the Kagemane depends on how long this technique can be used for. C ranked is 1 post. B ranked Kagemane is 2 posts , A ranked Kagemane is 3 posts. With the opponent pinned, the user can then use his regular Shadow Imitation Technique to control them at his leisure. This technique you must have more then one sharp object such as a knife, senbon needle or other. The object must have a seal tag upon it filled with chakra as the user has one stabbed against his own shadow, and the other must be stabbed against the opponent's shadow. When first learned the user is only capable of trapping one opponent with one senbon or knife. Each time learned the user is capable of trapping one more opponent with the same drawbacks and holding as that of the Shadow Imitation Technique. Meaning, that you would need two knives on your own shadow to trap two other peoples. You cannot control their movements while using this jutsu, it only immobilizes, and freeze them in place. Name: Shadow Strike Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: D Jutsu Prerequisites: Handseals Description: Forming the dragon handsign, the Nara member's shadow strikes out at the opponent with fists and feet striking out at their shadow. If they hit, it will seem as if the Nara Member had actually hit them. It only feels like a punch, hurting nerve receptors, not actually damaging the opponent or cause recoil upon the hit, just pain. However, Pain may cause the opponent to flinch and fall over. Limit: Nara Clan Member, Shadow Imitation Technique

Name: Shadow Entrapment Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: "Hanseals"extend palm forward with hand out squeezing. Target must be captured within Kagemane. Description: After the Kagemane has connected, The user uses the Shadow summoning technique to make tendrils on the opponent. The Summoned shadow tendrils wrap around the foe surrounding him in a coffin of sorts. Wrapped around the Nara member can then squeeze his hand and begin to crush the opponent. Once completed this jutsu can severely injure, possibly kill the opponent. Same break away rules apply from Kagemane, meaning that they have a chance to fight through it and escape, however unlikely. Limit: Must know Shadow Summoning, Nara Clan Member, Shadow Imitation Technique
Name:Shadow Dome Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: Handseals Description: Shadow Summoning used the user uses more handseals and then the shadow tendrils form a dome around an entire 20 meter arena. No one can see within this arena. This makes for the opponent losing visibility while the Nara Clan member can still see. This jutsu may be used with Kagemane, however, the users shadow must extend and connect with the targets as per normal. This jutsu takes allot of chakra, and thus is usually used as a last resort. The strain put on the body can injure the user of the technique greatly, and thus for its strain on the user, has been labeled forbidden. Limit: Nara Clan, Shadow Summoning, Shadow Imitation Technique
Name: Shadow Endgame Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: S Jutsu Prerequisites: "Hanseals", Tiger(holds) (after Shadow Summoning) Description: Only usable if opponent is caught by Shadow Summoning, Unable to use jutsu while using, and razor sharp tendrils do not tell difference between friend and foe, if ally is nearby they are in danger. Description: If an opponent is wrapped up by Shadow Coffin or Shadow Summoning, the shadows begin to gain chakra and immediately harden into razor sharp lashes. Upon finishing the handsigns the user holds the tiger and the lashes rip apart an opponent in merely a second, completely tearing them to pieces. POwer opponents can resist the lashed and only come out with damage from a B rank jutsu, stronger opponents can also flare their chakra and cause the coffin to weaken, further weakening the technique or allowing escape. Name: Ninpou: Bekutaya no Jutsu (Ninja Art: Vector Arrow) Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S" Jutsu Prerequisites: "Hand Seals", must hold Snake handseal. Description: Bekutaya, or the Vector Arrow, is a powerful Nara Clan Ninpou. Utilizing their shadow, the user will find themselves capable of extending it outwards in the shape of an arrow. The arrow will move upon the ground, capable of being directed like the Kagemane no Jutsu, with the exception of the user being capable of only making one Bekutaya at a time. The arrow will attempt to ride on the ground and attacks the opponent's shadow. If the arrow pierces and envelopes the opponent's shadow, the opponent will then be forced to be drug along with the arrow, no matter how the user manipulates the direction of the arrow. The opponent, while within the Bekutaya, is incapable of performing Taijutsu, but may still counter attack with Nin or Genjutsu. If the opponent is of a higher Difficulty Class than the user's rank of Bekutaya, then the opponent is capable of fighting against the flow of the arrow, but will suffer from a reduction of 10% movements per turn while within the arrow. Limit: Must have Kagemane no Jutsu. Must be a member of the Nara Clan.
Name: Bekutaya Satsu (Vector Arrow Split) Canon/Custom: custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu/supplementary Rank: D Jutsu Prerequisites: Must have the Bekutaya active. Description: A supplemental training that is used in addition to the Bekutaya no Jutsu. Each time this ability is learned, the user is capable of creating one additional Bekutaya from the user's shadow. This ability may be learned up to nineteen times, allowing the user the ability to create up to twenty Bekutaya from the user's shadow. All the rules of Kagemane and Bekutaya still apply. Limit: Must know Ninpou: Bekutaya no Jutsu.
Name: Bekutaya Ryoku (Vector Arrow Power) Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: "D", "C", "B", "A", "S" Jutsu Prerequisites: The user must have the corresponding rank of Bekutaya no Jutsu in order to learn this. Description: This technique allows the user greater freedom in the capturing of the opponent within the Bekutaya techniques. Without this ability, the opponent's shadow must be completely enveloped before they are forced to move. With this technique learned, the user is capable of catching the opponent with lesser portions of the shadow making contact with the Bekutaya. D Rank- Requires 90% of the shadow to be enveloped. C Rank- Requires 70% of the shadow to be enveloped. B Rank- Requires 50% of the shadow to be enveloped. A Rank- Requires 30% of the shadow to be enveloped. S Rank- Requires 10% of the shadow to be enveloped. Limit: Must have the corresponding level of Bekutaya no Jutsu in order to learn.
Name: Bekutaya Nintai (Vector Arrow Endurance) Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: From holding the Snake, perform "Bird", and then go back to holding Snake. Description: Once the Bekutaya has been learned to be capable of splitting into the creation of additional arrows, the user will then be capable of causing a portion of the Bekutaya to break off and remain stationary upon the ground. It will remain there for three turns, plus one turn for every rank of Bekutaya that has been learned above "D" Rank. If the opponent's shadow moves over the Bekutaya, they will be thrown in the direction of the arrow's pointing, using the rank of the user's Bekutaya no Jutsu as a basis for how powerful the throw is, with the "D" Rank being a tiny push while the "S" Rank being capable of throwing up to fifty meters. Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu. Must have Bekutaya Satsu
Name: Bekutaya Ryuuki (Vector Arrow Rising) Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites: Description: After much effort, the user will find that they are suddenly capable of raising the Bekutaya off of the ground and into the arrow. This can be used in order to make it easier to catch an opponent with the Bekutaya, or can be used in conjunction with Bekutaya Togu in order to turn the user's shadow into a potentially deadly weapon. Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "B" Rank.
Name: Bekutaya Togu (Vector Arrow Sharpen) Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: B Jutsu Prerequisites:While holding the Snake, "Tiger" is performed, then Snake is moved back into being held. Description: A powerful technique that pushes Shadow Manipulation to its highest peak, to the point where the shadow becomes capable of physically injuring a living creature. Saturating the Bekutaya with chakra, the Bekutaya hardens and sharpens itself into a high-speed cutting utensil, which can be used to attack and deal damage to individuals. The technique costs the user a portion of chakra in order to cause the initial hardening, and then an additional, although small, amount of chakra per turn in order to keep the hardened state of the shadow. Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "B" rank.
Name: Bekutaya Seal-less Control Canon/Custom: Custom Element: Shadow Type: Ninjutsu Rank: A Jutsu Prerequisites: Description: Once true mastery of the Bekutaya is achieved, the user will find themselves capable of manipulating the Vector Arrows without being forced to continuously hold the Snake handseal. This allows them to engage within Taijutsu combat, but while they are controlling the arrows, they are incapable of performing any additional Ninjutsu or Genjutsu. Limit: Must have Bekutaya no Jutsu of at least "A" Rank.

Name: Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu [Demonic Illusion: Vision of Hell] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An illusion that makes the target see a shocking scene, such as a dying friend or anything else the user sees fit, making the target lower their defenses.
Name: Suro-boisu no Jutsu [Voice Throwing Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Hear Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: This is an illusion in which targets the ears. It makes it so they can disguise the location in which their voice is coming from, convincing the target’s mind that they are hearing it from another place. Useful for staying hidden or confusing an enemy.
Name: Fusenmei Genzō [Vision Blur] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: Fusenmei Genzō convinces the mind that their vision is blurring for a moment, disorienting them and causing an opening for attack.
Name: Iya Eda Kataki no Jutsu [Melting Body Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight + Feel Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: The target sees and feels his limbs slowly melting off his body, making them think they cannot use them anymore.
Name: Sakujō Kibō no Jutsu [Illusionary Plants] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Feel + Sight Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: This Genjutsu causes the target to see small flowers and weeds sprout up with great speed and capture them with their vines, squeezing them so tight that it feels as if they cannot get away.
Name: Dōbutsu Bunshin no Jutsu[Animal Clone Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight Rank: D Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An alteration of the Bunshin technique. The user is able to create an illusionary clone of an animal companion or a summon, although the clone disperses into smoke once hit with some kind of physical force like with the original Bunshin technique.
Name: Kasumi Jūsha no Jutsu [Mist Servant Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: Essentially a more advance version of the Bunshin technique, this technique produces twenty images of a person. Unlike the normal Bushin, these clones will reform if damaged as if made of a gooey substance. These clones however cannot cause any physical damage, they are still illusions.
Name: Hibiki no Jutsu [Phantom Voice Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Hear Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: A ghostly voice begins to emerge in the targets mind, saying whatever the user pleases. The voice gets so loud that the target cannot hear anything but the voice.
Name: Kagai Bunshin no Jutsu [Mirror Clone Technique ] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight + Feel Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An alteration of the Bunshin technique, creating a Bunshin of the enemy that appears to actually be able to fight. In reality the target fighting nothing but in the target’s mind he really is fighting a copy of himself and the copy will not go away until he figures out how to destroy it, or dispels the genjutsu. This is good for exhausting their target and possibly making their target expose their weaknesses in order to destroy the copy.
Name: Botsuraku Gozō no Jutsu [Diminishing Air Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Feel Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An illusion in which makes the target believe that the air supply around them is slowly diminishing them, making them feel as if they were really in a situation that they cannot breath. Because the mind is convinced there is no air the target’s mind restricts them from breathing. This instills fear in the target and if isn’t dispelled eventually can cause the target to faint.
Name: Magen: Jigoku Gōka no Jutsu [Demonic Illusion: Descending Hell] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Sight Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: This illusion depicts a giant fireball which slowly falls downward, about to collide with the earth. Used as a “Scare” tactic, making enemies flee or try to avoid the fireball.
Name: Hinote Engan no Jutsu [Hell’s Fire Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Feel + Sight Rank: C Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An illusion which creates intense flames that surround the target. The illusion puts in the targets mind that they are actually being burned and that they can actually feel the pain but in reality no harm has come to them.
Name: Higai Mōsō no Jutsu [Paranoia Technique] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Feel Rank: B Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An illusion which makes people become skeptical to their teammates for they think they are going to betray them. This causes them to fight amongst each other making them easy targets. This can target up to four people at once.
Name: Kaben Kieru [Petal Assault] Type: Genjutsu Sub-type: Feel + Sight Rank: B Orientation: Supplementary Effects: An illusion which causes the user to disperse into a flurry of flower petals. These petals will then swarm around the target, trapping them in a thick layer of petals and immobilizing them. This allows the user to strike at the helpless target with ease.
historical information ___________________________________________ Calin was born to his mother, a woman whose first name he can't remember, and a man named Saiten Nara. Calin grew up traveling the land as wandering merchants while learning multiple Nara clan techniques and worked to master as many of them as he possible could. When he was six years old his father began training him on the road about the shinobi and personally worked to teach Calin everything he knew. At a very young age the parents noted that Calin had the renown 'Nara clan intellect' and decided that he should live with a different name. As such he began going by his mother last name. Not only did this make it easier to hide should anyway be looking for shinobi in a clan, but in combat is made it easier to surprise the opponent. When he was twelve his father passed away after teaching Calin all that he knew. He left him a scroll that housed the rest of the Nara clan techniques and to this day Calin guards it with his life. His mother moved on to continue life as a traveling merchant and Calin began wandering as a shinobi. He tended to get into trouble when it came to 'lazing off' or 'relaxing' as Calin preferred to call it as he always preferred it to actual work. It was when he was 18 that he discovered the Shirotori (not the village the group) and he was recruited for his capturing and assassination skills.
