Traveling was always tricky. Toshu set out from the Ruined Village, pack strapped across his back. His backpack tended to attract a bit of attention. When any authorities saw a giant man wearing a rucksack that could comfortably carry a full-grown adult, they gave him a bit of extra scrutiny. Luckily, his imposing presence and silver tongue usually kept the worries to a minimum. He strolled down the empty road for now, lumbering along slowly but surely.

It was a long road, and had been surprisingly uneventful thus far. There had been a few men who looked like they might be bandits, but they'd decided it wasn't the best idea to attack the giant. Toshu waved pleasantly as he passed them, and they had nervously returned his wave. They might be common thugs, but that was no excuse for him to be rude. After all, they'd done nothing to him. They seemed utterly confused, but Toshu soon left them behind. He was slower than most of his comrades, but he liked the easier pace of his travel. He could relax on the road, alone with his thoughts.

The sun was low in the sky when Toshu finally reached his destination. He walked through the streets, the crowds parting to let him through. One of the local officials had been less than friendly lately, and lord Zaku had sent Toshu to negotiate. He had to stop for directions a few times, scaring a few townsfolk in the process. Finally, as night fell, he arrived at the palatial mansion where the man lived. So far, the giant had managed to keep from alerting the authorities, but it was time for the Shirotori to make their presence known. With a reluctant sigh, he approached.

Once he was across the border, Toshu could settle down for the night. He found a nice, quiet hollow away from the roads. He curled up, wrapping himself in a blanket and covering it with branches and leaves. He was surprisingly well-hidden for someone his size. When morning came, he stood up and set off again.

Toshu lumbered along the side of the road, eating a travel ration. It was slow going, but he still had work to do before he could go home. He came to a fork in the road, and turned away from the path to the Ruined Village. He was heading for a nicer place, one much wealthier. It was a bold move, but lord Zaku had his reasons. Toshu had another mission to carry out.

It was getting on towards evening when Toshu came in sight of his destination. Up ahead, he could see the massive airship city of Soragakure. The giant man stopped in a stand of trees, putting on the white coat of his organization. He didn't exactly like the look, but they had a message to send. He strode forward, making for the airship port. It was time to shake the skies.
